Wedding trial for Vicky

July 22, 2009 by hoddo1812

I was on my way to pick my dog up from the vets when I received a text from Vicky, my long term client become friend, to say she was engaged! Yay!

Vicky was planning to move in with her boyfriend, Gareth, in New Mill near Huddersfield and they decided to start planning ‘the big day’ before ‘the moving in day’. I was so delighted when she asked me to do her hair and make-up for the wedding and couldn’t wait to start planning with her.

Their chosen venue is the divineNostell Prioryat Nostell near Wakefield but we will be getting her ready at her parent’s house in Holmfirth, so that’s where we decided to do the trial.

After untold traumas with the dress we decided on the hair style and make-up and set to work. There are lots of fabulous photos so I’ll try to keep the commentary short and to the point.

Vicky has long, silky, fine, straight hair and I wanted as much volume as I could get so I blow dried it using a root boost product to produce the lift required.

I have to say that both Vicky and her Mum (Tricia) seemed to thoroughly enjoy the day and there were smiles all round which was lovely for me.

Having dried the hair I put heated rollers in for body and curl.

Ouch! How many rollers?

I won’t go through each individual aspect of the make-up and eyelash application, I’ll just let the photos speak for themselves. You can always contact me if you would like more information about hair and make-up, I’m always happy to discuss these subjects 🙂

Here goes with the photos then …

Just look at those eyelashes – WOW! Vicky has the most gorgeous eyes!

Finally, lips.

Well personally, I’m delighted with the end result, I do get a definite Marie Antoinette feel when I see these images – what do you think?

And that’s the transformation of Vicky! I really can’t wait now to see the whole image of dress, tiara, hair, make-up and most importantly, husband on their big day.

Hope you enjoyed all of the above and keep watching for more info on more brides, proms, special occasions etc.

I’ll leave you with two final photos of Vicky. Please feel free to contact me with any comments (as long as they’re positive ;-)).

Bye for now.
